1. Select the graphics as per your business: Most of the websites offer thousands of free templates to select from. You can sort out the cards as per your business by selecting your category of business.
2. Base the colours of the card on the theme colours of your business: If you do it, this will be another component of maintaining uniform colour scheme for the purpose of developing a consistent brand image.
3. Select the right printing: Printing on business card is done by various means to develop the required impressions. You might have to decide on whether you require ‘raised-prints’, whether you will go with the glossy UV-coat and so on.
4. Size of the card: Too small a card might not be noticed or may not be readable, and, too big might not fit into the pocket or cardholder size. Therefore, generally, the choice is limited to a few sizes only.
5. Material: The base material of the cards is a very important consideration in the selection process. You can have the business card made in paper sheets or different types of plastic material. Plastic materials are more durable and are not damaged easily in water but the colours are retained better by the paper-base cards. If you are environment conscious and your organization is committed to using of eco-friendly material, then you might even opt for the recycled paper based cards.
If you want to have a very distinctive look for your card, you can even make use of rubber, real wood, wooden nickels and magnets for the cards.
6. One side or two side print: One side of the card will contain the business-related information and you might be willing to get something printed on the back side as well. This could be a route map to reach your business, some product images or the business information in the native language.
A professional, attractive and neatly finished business card furthers your brand image and is your first impression to the person you are meeting. Take your time in selecting the right one for yourself.
ReplyDeleteHey…how can you write so well? My children are gaga over your colorful website. My teenage daughter wants to sell her `dance moves’ online and my younger son is recording his rock ‘n roll compositions. Thanks for your idea on making money by posting talents that each one of us have in some form or the other. As per your suggestions, my family as a whole (including hubby dear) have posted what we have to offer on cover photos for twitter, design facebook banner websites. I think a `family that blogs together, also stays together’. ?
